On June 25th, the "gLOCAL Solution Room 2025 Online Seminar" was jointly held by Otemae University International Institute Global Nursing and Mahidol University in Thailand, with approximately 180 nursing professionals, including clinical practitioners, researchers, and students from Japan and abroad, participating.

After the introduction of JBI, the seminar was opened by Dr. Porawan, Director of JBI Mahidol University Ramathibodi Global Nursing of Nursing (MURSON) and Professor Naoko Nishimura, Director of JBI Otemae Implementation Center. Then, lectures were given by Thai and Japanese Lecturer on healthcare and evidence implementation in both countries.

From Thailand, after explaining the different levels of healthcare systems, the role of nurses, and care based on Buddhism, a presentation was given on diabetes care practiced based on evidence. From Japan, Professor Nishimura spoke on "Barriers and challenges of evidence-based practice in Japan," followed by Dr. Yoshiko Ikegami, Head Nurse in charge of education at Higashiomi General Medical Center, who spoke on the theme of "Practicing evidence-based fall prevention in people in their 70s."

During the discussion, a question was asked, "How can we solve the problem that nurses' anxiety about change is one of the factors that makes it difficult to implement evidence-based care?" The answer was that one solution would be for nurses to seek advice from facilitators and supporters outside the hospital. In addition, the difficulty of establishing evidence-based care was shared with the Thai participants, and the discussion was lively, with the aim of medical professionals in both countries working together to implement evidence in the future.

Despite the limited time, participants made many comments and asked questions, and opinions were exchanged between participants and symposium speakers across countries. The seminar raised hopes that it will lead to further efforts and development of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) in Asia in the future.
