During the lunch break on July 1st, the Kendo Club held a "Club Activities x International Exchange" event.
First, the club's Director introduced the activities and explained the mindset and etiquette of kendo, after which the international students spoke about the fun of the activities and the appeal of kendo. An international student from China said, "Practice can be tough, with the skin peeling off my hands and my muscles hurting, but by practicing repeatedly, I was able to feel my skills improving and learned that hard work never fails."
In addition, an exchange student from Korea is also a member of the Kendo club, and he said, "This is the first time I've experienced Kendo since coming to Japan, and I'm having a lot of fun. Practicing and interacting with the club members has given me an environment where I can relax." Finally, the participants had the chance to try Kendo with bamboo swords in their hands.
The "Club Activities x International Exchange" event, which began for the first time this year, is an event planned and run in cooperation with the extracurricular activity groups of Otemae University and Otemae College and Team Colors (international exchange student staff).
Please look forward to future events.
