Assistant Professor Mizuyo Tonosaki of Faculty of Business Administration gives a lecture on food called "Food Marketing." Guest speakers from the business world are invited to give specific examples and to listen to the voices of those involved in the subject, deepening understanding. Here we will report on the lecture.
JCOS Corporation is a company established in 2005 that develops ICT solutions, HR services, and logistics businesses. First, there was an explanation of the uniqueness of how JCOS Corporation expanded its business from an office moving business to its current ICT solutions and HR services. Next, there was a lecture on the theme of this lecture, the development of a "freshly squeezed orange juice vending machine" that JCOS Corporation is supporting in developing the Japanese market.
First, JCOS Co., Ltd., a company with strengths in the fields of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and IoT (Internet of Things), explained why they are a sales support partner for the "Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice Vending Machine". The manufacturer is an IoT technology company from Singapore, and in recent years, the "Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice Vending Machine" installed at stations and shopping facilities has realized efficient operation of the vending machine by utilizing AIoT technology. For JCOS Co., Ltd., it is a company that can utilize its strengths and correctly convey the technical value of the product, and it was explained that they have partnered with them because of the advantage of obtaining mutual synergy effects. In addition, the lecture included specific contents such as detailed market and competitor research, detailed sales strategy planning based on that, speedy sales activities, and thorough management of the sales situation.
Students who attended the class commented, "Mr. Asano's lecture taught us the importance of both 'thinking outside of existing frameworks' and 'detailed design from the customer's perspective.' It was especially valuable to learn the big picture, from marketing to logistics, through a single product, orange juice.' In addition, the message that 'small ideas can become big businesses' left a strong impression on me, and I would like to use this in my future career choices."

**AIoT** is a combination of **Artificial Intelligence (AI)** and **Internet of Things (IoT).
