[Faculty of Global Nursing] Accepting Global Nursing from Da Nang University

For five days from June 30th to July 4th, we welcomed eight Global Nursing and three accompanying teachers from our overseas academic partner institution, Da Nang University (Vietnam), to our Osaka Otemae Campus for a short-term training program.

On the day before the program, faculty and students from Faculty of Global Nursing acted as host families and conducted a one-day home visit. During the training program, faculty members Faculty of Global Nursing gave lectures and exercises in English, and students from Da Nang University learned about Japanese medical care, childbirth, newborn bathing, and elderly care in Japan. They also attended classes Faculty of Global Nursing first-year subject "Career Planning I" and second-year subject "Exploring Sensory Diversity." For the off-campus program, the students toured the medical system and initiatives of the social welfare corporation Fureai Kyoseikai Mokuren and the Bell Ensemble medical and welfare complex with the cooperation of the facility. On the final day, Da Nang University students gave a presentation on the results of their training and performed a dance.

Our students volunteered in each program, and members of the Global Circle actively interacted with students from Da Nang University by planning and implementing student exchange programs. It was a valuable opportunity to deepen understanding of diverse cultures.

We will continue to promote exchanges with our overseas academic partner universities.
