"Psychology" has an image of being something a little scary, or mysterious and mysterious, as it reveals what is going on inside the "Psychology." The Japanese Psychology Association, a public interest incorporated association, has been conducting activities every year since 2012 in which experts explain in an easy-to-understand manner, with the aim of clearing up such misunderstandings about "Psychology" and helping high school students, their parents, and high school teachers, who are particularly interested in Psychology, understand that "psychology is an empirically based scientific discipline." This year, the course was held at Otemae University, with lectures given by five professors from nearby universities, including our own.

First, Associate Professor Tomomi Takezawa of Otemae University Faculty of Modern Social Studies gave an explanation titled "Sensibility and Psychology" while incorporating the perspective of informatics to measure and visualize "sensibility". Next, Takuya Yabuta Assistant Professor of the Psychology Department of Koshien University gave a lecture titled "anime Psychology". He explained the world of the mind of people who came into contact with anime from the perspective of "healing". Next, Yuka Nakajima Professor of Otemae University Faculty of Modern Social Studies gave a lecture titled "Psychology of the bond between people and animals" about what people spend time with animals brings us, including the need for animal husbandry in schools. Next, Yuki Tsugami of the Faculty of Engineering, Kwansei Gakuin Assistant Professor University, gave a lecture on "Experiments Psychology", he explained the mechanism of the mind through experiments, such as the fact that what people intuitively feel and what they feel may differ from objective facts, using visual illusions as examples. Finally, Ken Sakai of Otemae University Faculty of Modern Social Studies Associate Professor introduced Freud's theory under the title of "Deep Psychology". He explained that the part of the mind (unconscious) that he is not aware of has a great influence on a person's behavior and cognition.

High school students who participated shared their thoughts, saying things like, "I thought Psychology was about reading people's minds, but I learned that it's scientific and that it's also related to fields other than the human mind, such as product development and anime." and "I learned that there are many different ways to analyze the human mind."
