"Ebisu Children's Cafe," organized by the nonprofit organization Ebisu Basketball Club, is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at the Nishinomiya Koei High School building of the Omae Gakuen educational corporation, with the theme of "Invigorating the community through the power of food and basketball." In August, "Ebisu Children's Cafe Terakoya" was held at Zenkyoji Temple in Naruo-cho, Nishinomiya City.
This time, five students participated, including those from the Otemae Volunteer Club, students enrolled in teacher training courses, and those who applied through general recruitment. After a lecture by the chief priest, all participants participated in cleaning activities and provided study support.
Although the volunteer students and participating children were a little awkward at first, they all had a great time during the splash fight (water gun fight) after lunch, and the event ended successfully.
Otemae Educational Corporation will continue to participate in volunteer activities in the future.
