On July 31st, we participated in the "Food Education Summer Festival" held at Nishiyodogawa Ward Office in Osaka City as a healthy partner of Osaka City. A total of 13 volunteers, including three third-year students, four second-year students, and six first-year students Faculty of Health and Nutrition participated in food education activities. This was the first time that a second-year male student also participated, and it was seen that he gained various insights from his first experience of food education activities.

At Otemae University booth, there was a "food education game corner" for children, where they could play a game to find odd vegetables and fruits in underwater photos, and a "food education origami" where they could fold food and ingredients by looking at samples. The booth attracted not only children but also older people, who showed interest in participating, and the students were able to interact with people of a wide range of ages. A total of over 100 people participated during the event, which ran from 11:00 to 15:00.

This is a completely voluntary activity. We hope that students aiming to become registered dietitians will be able to interact with each other across grade levels and use this experience to grow as individuals.
