Otemae University FD Committee and Otemae College FD Committee jointly hold public FD/SD seminar

On September 1st, Otemae University FD Committee and Otemae College FD Committee jointly held a public FD/SD seminar entitled "Discussing Support for Diverse Students."

The purpose of this seminar was to provide an opportunity to think about how to support diverse students through a panel discussion and to discuss it together with faculty and staff from member Otemae University. Specific examples were presented on the feelings, thoughts, difficulties and problems of faculty and staff involved in entrance examinations and admissions, academic support, student life support, graduation, employment and further education at Otemae College and Otemae Junior College.

The event began with an opening address by Professor Watanabe Kimiaki, Chairman of the Faculty Development Committee Otemae University. The event was moderated by Professor Hirakawa Daisaku, Professor Faculty of Architecture & Arts Otemae University and Manager the Office for Support for Students with Disabilities. Each panelist gave a case report, and Mr. Nishioka of the Suisei Social Welfare Corporation offered advice on how to provide support.

On the day, 88 faculty and staff members from Otemae Educational Corporation and member schools of the University Consortium Hyogo Kobe participated.
