On August 29th, Professor Naoko Nishimura Professor Kyoko Shimazawa participated in an emergency resuscitation training session held at Mahosot Hospital in Laos.
This was the second time this training has been held, and it was conducted as part of the "JBI Evidence Practice Training" which Professor Nishimura has been continuing to support since last year as a JBI-certified trainer, and the participants were 22 doctors and 39 nurses.

In his opening remarks, Professor Nishimura spoke about the significance of utilizing evidence to implement quality improvement in clinical practice, and Hospital Director Mahosot also gave an opening address.

The training took place over the course of a full day, with lectures in the morning on team communication during emergency resuscitation, BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Life Support), followed by practical exercises in the afternoon.

Participants gave feedback such as, "I learned something new and would like to continue this training in the future." It was rare to see multidisciplinary training involving doctors and nurses, and training involving staff from different wards such as the ICU and emergency outpatient department, all of which were highly praised. It also seemed stimulating to be able to communicate with nurses with different years of experience.

On August 29th, Professor Nishimura and Professor Shimazawa participated.
This training is part of the JBI Evidence Implementation Training Program, which Professor Nishimura has been continuously supporting as a JBI-certified trainer since last year. It targeted 22 physicians and 39 nurses, marking the second session.
Professor Nishimura opened the session with remarks on the significance of implementing quality improvements in clinical practice using evidence, marking the start of the training. Director of Mahosot Hospital also gave opening remarks. The full-day program consisted of lectures in the morning on team communication during emergency resuscitation, Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), followed by practical exercises in the afternoon. Participants provided feedback stating they learned new things and wished to continue such training in the future.
The training was highly praised as a valuable opportunity, as multi-disciplinary training doctors and nurses, and training bringing together staff from different units like the ICU and emergency department, is apparently not commonly held. Participants also found it stimulating to communicate with nurses of varying years of experience.
