After graduating from Meiji University, Honorary Dr. Yoshida trained in confectionery in France and Switzerland before opening "Boulmiche" (main store in Ginza) in 1973. He was recognized for his wide-ranging achievements, not only as a pastry chef with many awards both at home and abroad, but also as a researcher and writer, having held various key positions in the Japanese confectionery and food industry and having devoted himself to many years of study.
The first part featured an award ceremony and a commemorative lecture by Dr. Emeritus Yoshida on "People Dream of Sweets," and the second part featured panelists Dr. Kikujiro Yoshida and President of Suzette Holdings Co., Ltd., Mr. Takeki Arida, and Otemae University Mitsutoshi Hirano, President.
In the second half of the panel discussion, Associate Professor Tomomi Takezawa of the School of Faculty of Modern Social Studies joined in, and the panelists explained the results of the analysis of the survey that was completed by everyone in the audience, and exchanged opinions.
Approximately 140 people attended the event, making it a great success, and participants took home a copy of Dr. Yoshida's latest book, "The More You Know, The More You Love! The Sweets Doctor's Sweets Course," and a box of Boulmiche baked goods as souvenirs. Thank you to everyone who attended.
