A signing ceremony was held for a research collaboration agreement with Osaka Prefectural Otemae High School

A research cooperation agreement was drawn up between Osaka Prefectural Otemae High School and our university, primarily from Otemae University Faculty of Health and Nutrition, with the aim of providing expert guidance, advice, and experimental support for student research conducted as part of the project research at Osaka Prefectural Otemae High School. This agreement also aims to contribute to the further deepening and development of student research and the promotion of Otemae High School's Super Science Project overall. A signing ceremony was held on Thursday, December 11th. Taking advantage of the adjacent location, this agreement will enable research to be conducted using university facilities and cutting-edge analytical equipment, as well as close information exchange. Since expert guidance and advice will be provided by both faculty and our university students, it is expected that the activities of conveying the specialized knowledge and analytical equipment learned at university to high school students will also increase the motivation and learning outcomes of the university students themselves.
The signing ceremony was attended by many teachers, including the principal of Otemae High School, and in a friendly atmosphere, they discussed the origins of each school and their expectations for research collaboration. After the ceremony, they toured our university's research facilities and cafeteria and cooking training facilities. They listened with interest to explanations from university faculty who will be using each facility, and we believe they were able to get a sense of what it will be like for high school students to use them for research. It is hoped that these activities will deepen collaboration and lead to the enrichment and development of education and research at both schools.
