Since October 2022, students from our university have been volunteering at Ebisu Children's Cafe, which meets once a month with the theme of "Invigorating the community through the power of food and basketball."

"Ebisu Children's Cafe" is held on the fourth Sunday of every month at the school building of Nishinomiya Koei High School, a school corporation run by Otemae Gakuen. On December 28, 2025, members of the Otemae Volunteer Club and five general students, including international students, who wanted to volunteer, participated in the event.

This time, first to fourth year university and junior college students from Faculty of Intercultural Japanese Studies, Faculty of Modern Social Studies, and Department of Life Design participated and helped with shooting games (basketball games) and other activities.

Below is a report from Director of the Otemae Volunteer Club, who participated as a volunteer.
"At the Ebisu Children's Cafeteria in December, we played the usual basketball games, tried out drone piloting, and had a shooting gallery, and for lunch we had Chikara soba noodles with the children. The children who came seemed to enjoy piloting the drones, even though they were difficult to control."

Otemae Educational Corporation will continue to participate in volunteer activities in the future.
