On January 21st, the student-led "Neighborhood Clean-up Campaign" for the fall semester was held. A total of five members from the Volunteer Club and the Co-op Student Committee participated in this activity, actively working to beautify the area.
■ Activities
On the day, the students cleaned up mainly the sidewalks around the university and junior college, Morigu Park, and alleys in residential areas, carefully collecting trash such as cigarette butts and empty cans. With work gloves and garbage bags in hand, the participating students worked silently and cooperatively, contributing to the beautification of the area.
During the activities, the local people sometimes gave warm words of thanks, which was a great encouragement to the students.
■ Student Voices
"We often found cigarette butts around the school, which was disappointing" (Volunteer Club member)
"We felt a sense of accomplishment by working together to improve the environment in our neighborhood." (Co-op Student Committee)
■Towards the future
Through this activity, the students were able to deepen their ties with the local community and raise their awareness of environmental beautification. We will continue to carry out cleaning activities and raise awareness of manners in the future, aiming to become a university and junior college that is trusted by the local community.
