Thirteen students from Tourism and Regional Management in the School of Faculty of Modern Social Studies participated in the "Otemae University About Traditional Sake Brewing" event held at the Hakushika Memorial Sake Brewery Museum (Kurakake-cho, Nishinomiya City) on Saturday, February 14th. This event, held for the second year in a row since last year, is an event where students provide guided tours of Nada sake brewing using handmade panels and other materials.
As it was the opening of the new sake brewery on the day, many customers came to visit, and the students were divided into areas such as the key points of sake brewing and the area displaying remains of the earthquake disaster, explaining the highlights to the customers while asking them quizzes they had devised. As the students who participated this time had experience last year, their explanations went smoothly and they were able to relax enough to enjoy conversations with the customers, showing the growth they have made over the past year through their regular seminar activities.
This year, participants who took part in the quiz at the five guided tour points were presented with drip bags of the seminar's original blend coffee, which was jointly developed with TAOCA COFFEE. This also allowed us to promote two of Nishinomiya's famous products, alcohol and coffee, making for a day that truly demonstrated the collaboration between local businesses and our university.
