comment

Expressions that include "come," such as "He's the worst," somehow convey a sense of "low evaluation" even though they don't contain evaluative words like "bad" or "worst." This text describes the historical semantic changes of linguistic expressions that convey a sense of low evaluation without using explicit evaluative words, such as "when he comes."
