The EITP (Evidence Implementation Training Program) seminar was held online over a total of five days: February 21st, 27th, and March 5th-7th. This seminar is a program that aims to develop and implement evidence-based improvement projects to address challenges arising in clinical and educational settings, and to publish the results in English-language papers. It is continuously supported by faculty members of our university who hold international trainer qualifications.

This year, as the fourth cohort, four participants—two clinical nurses and two university faculty members—took part. Based on challenges in their respective practice settings, the participants set project themes and concretized improvement project plans while learning about evidence utilization, implementation processes, and leadership. The projects covered diverse areas, including improving the quality of pressure ulcer care in wards with limited resources, enhancing treatment adherence for chronic disease patients in outpatient settings (a field that will become increasingly important), improving the quality of discharge support for families with newborns leaving the NICU, and improving the quality of nursing education. Furthermore, the participation of university faculty members will deepen collaboration with clinical nurses and clinical instructors, and we will also work on quality improvement from the perspective of unification, connecting education and clinical practice.

On the final day, March 7th, graduates of the seminar also participated, and the 4th cohort presented their project themes. The graduates provided concrete advice on how to proceed with the projects and mentored the participants, addressing their anxieties about carrying out their initiatives, making it an opportunity for mutual learning and networking.
This seminar aims to improve challenges in clinical and educational settings based on evidence. We hope to continue contributing to the improvement of nursing quality through collaboration with clinical settings.
