On Sunday, April 5, 2026, a pre-ceremony for the "2026 Spring National Traffic Safety Campaign" was held at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens, and three fourth-year students from our university's Faculty of Architecture & Arts (Airi Tanioka, Izumi Nagae, and Yuzuki Baba) attended.
This ceremony was organized by the Nishinomiya Police Station and others in advance of the nationwide traffic safety campaign, which will be held from Monday, April 6th to Wednesday, April 15th.
Three students from our university, at the request of the Nishinomiya Police Station, created awareness posters on the themes of "illegal part-time jobs," "drug abuse prevention," and "using smartphones while walking," which have become problematic in recent years. At the ceremony, they donated the completed posters to the police station.
The students who created the posters commented on stage, "We would be happy if seeing the posters we created would make citizens even a little more aware of crime prevention and traffic safety," expressing their thoughts on the process.
At the venue, the four-member idol group "Iroha Sakura," who are active mainly in the Kansai region, were appointed as traffic safety ambassadors and performed a traffic safety song, calling on local residents to strictly adhere to traffic rules.
According to the Hyogo Prefectural Police, spring is a season when traffic accidents are more likely to occur due to environmental changes associated with the start of new lives. Our university will continue to actively engage in community service activities that utilize the creativity of our students.
