[Faculty of Health and Nutrition] A product planning project in collaboration with Ootora Kamaboko and university students has begun, through Keihan Department Store.

Five third-year students Faculty of Health and Nutrition will be collaborating with Ootora Kamaboko Co., Ltd., a company headquartered in Chuo-ku, Osaka City, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, to plan products for sale at the "Autumn Grand Thanksgiving Festival" to be held at Keihan Department Store in Moriguchi City, Osaka Prefecture, from October 8th to 28th.

Prior to the launch of the project, we visited the Ootora Kamaboko Domyoji Factory on May 9th for our first meeting. In addition to a factory tour guided by the factory manager, we had the opportunity to experience firsthand the "spirit of Ootora," which has developed through a combination of tradition and innovation, through tasting various products and learning about their commitment to product creation.

Furthermore, President Ichikawa also attended the meeting and offered words of encouragement, which was a very stimulating experience for the students.

The process of seeing what you've learned and your own ideas take shape as actual products is an invaluable experience. From here on, I hope that each of you will put what you've learned into practice.
