A special exhibition of the "Sohaku Bunko" collection, which houses ancient documents collected throughout the life of Professor Naokatsu Nakamura (in office: 1966-1976), the first President of Otemae Women's University (now Otemae University) and an authority on Japanese paleography and Japanese medieval history, will be held at the Yamato Bunkakan Museum in Nara.
The "Sohaku Bunko" collection is currently owned by the Yamato Bunkakan Museum and contains a wide range of items, including imperial calligraphy (the handwriting and writings of emperors and emperors), documents of the imperial court and samurai families, letters, prayers, oaths, and printed Buddhist images (printed images of Buddha, such as statues and paintings, made using woodblock printing). Please come and see it.
