On June 23rd, the "Learning Guide C" class (for second-year students) of Faculty of Architecture & Arts 's Architecture course was held jointly for four classes, and we welcomed four representatives from Matsuda-gumi Co., Ltd., a construction company in Nishinomiya City that is celebrating its 130th anniversary. Among them, Mr. Ippei Sasahara and Ms. Towa Nishiguchi (both graduates of the university's Architecture course in March 2023) gave lectures.

In the first half of the class, following an explanation by Career Support Office on "Job Options in Architecture-Related Industry," Lecturer Akari Yamamoto of Faculty of Architecture & Arts introduced the practical aspects of Architecture design, drawing on her experience as a licensed Architecture, on the theme of "Working in Architecture Design." The students deepened their understanding of Architecture industry as a whole.

In the second half, Ms. Sasahara and Ms. Nishiguchi, both in their fourth year at Matsuda Construction, took the stage. Ms. Sasahara spoke about what Architecture management entails, focusing on the roles and rewards required on site. Ms. Nishiguchi then shared examples of projects she had worked on, illustrating the specific tasks involved in construction management and the ingenuity employed on site.
The real-world experiences of senior professionals working on the front lines were a great source of inspiration for the students and provided a valuable opportunity for them to consider their future careers.

Thank you very much to everyone from the Matsuda Group for taking the time out of your busy schedules to visit our university.
