To commemorate the introduction of an electric rice cooker to Faculty of Architecture & Arts, a "First Rice Cooking Festival" was held for faculty and staff. The event took place over two days, July 3rd and 6th, and was a great success with nearly 60 faculty and staff members in attendance.
On the 3rd, students from Tzu-Chi University in Taiwan also participated in an international exchange program, experiencing pottery, a traditional Japanese art form. Each student worked on creating sake cups, plates, and small containers, resulting in a large number of unique and wonderful pieces.
This year's first kiln firing festival served as the first opportunity to utilize our new equipment and provided a chance for many people to experience the joy of craftsmanship.
The electric kiln will be used in Faculty of Architecture & Arts going forward.
