The final meeting for product planning for the "Autumn Grand Thanksgiving Sale," which will be held at Keihan Department Store for 20 days in October, took place on July 30th at the Osaka Castle Campus.
For this fourth meeting, as with the previous one, we were joined by the planning staff from Keihan Department Store, as well as the factory manager and Deputy Director from Ootora Kamaboko Co., Ltd., which is responsible for the manufacturing and sales of the planned product. The students (team name: Water <fish (kamaboko) + autumn>) revised their proposal based on the feedback and issues raised in the previous meeting, and the final product was further refined. On this day, the final product was unveiled and a tasting session was held.
The theme for the Autumn Thanksgiving Festival is "Magowayasashii" (beans, sesame, wakame seaweed, vegetables, fish, shiitake mushrooms, and potatoes), an acronym formed from the first letters of ingredients that promote a healthy diet. A product has been created that beautifully combines these ingredients with kamaboko (fish cake), resulting in a very appealing product. The taste has also been further improved from the previous prototype, and the product is a fusion of the high technical skills of Ootora Kamaboko Co., Ltd. and the ideas of the students. The selling price and product name have also been officially decided, and it will be sold as the "Woam. Set".
On Sundays during the sales period, students will also participate in sales activities at the store and experience the results through actual sales.
Expectations are high for the launch of the "Water Set." The students will continue their studies until the end of the sales period so that the set can reach many customers and be enjoyed.
