The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Council on University Establishment and School Corporations has published a report approving the establishment of a "Faculty of Human Information Science."

We are pleased to report that the Faculty of Human Information Science Otemae University, which had applied for establishment approval with the aim of opening in April 2027, received a recommendation from the University Establishment and School Corporation Council on August 28, 2026 (Friday) to approve its establishment, and that its establishment was officially approved on the same day.
