Eight third-year students Faculty of Health and Nutrition enrolled in the "Social Collaboration Seminar [Health]," participated in the "Food Education & Health Festa" held in Higashinari Ward, Osaka City on September 26th as part of their coursework. This time, the students were in charge of everything from setting up and running the booth to cleaning up afterward, proactively participating in a part of community activities.

Despite the unfortunate rainy weather on the day, approximately 300 citizens attended, creating a lively atmosphere that reflected the high level of interest in food education and health. The students actively engaged with attendees, interacting with them through activities such as vegetable origami and coloring games (approximately 80 participants in total). It was impressive to see participation from people of all ages, from children to the elderly. The students deepened their practical learning by carefully communicating with people of various age groups.

In August, the third-year students participated in an off-campus clinical training program (Public Nutrition) at health and welfare centers in various wards of Osaka City, and it was evident that what they learned there was being put to good use in this activity. We hope that they will utilize this experience in their future studies and career choices.
