Students from Faculty of Modern Social Studies and Faculty of Health and Nutrition set up a booth offering craft beer and snacks at the "30th Nishinomiya Sake Brewery Renaissance and Food Fair," held at Nishinomiya Shrine on October 3rd (Saturday) and 4th (Sunday). This event was started the year after the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake by the Nishinomiya Chamber of Commerce and Industry and sake breweries in Nishinomiya City with the aim of promoting the revival of sake breweries that were damaged in the earthquake, and this year marks its 30th anniversary.
This year, as part of the 30th anniversary celebration, we set up a special "Industry-Academia Collaboration Booth" alongside Kwansei Gakuin University and Mukogawa Women's University, and the area was bustling with student energy throughout the day. As in the previous year, our Otemae University beer created in collaboration with DCS Co., Ltd., the operator of the craft beer brewery "Heal Soul Brewery & Tap Bar," and "Fried Tofu Stuffed with Meat in the Style of Okonomiyaki," devised and created by a student team from Faculty of Health and Nutrition On the first day alone, we sold 390 cups, surpassing last year's total of 384 cups, and on Sunday the 4th, despite the unfortunate rain, we sold a total of 469 cups over the two days, also exceeding last year's total. Thank you very much to everyone who made a purchase.
