On October 17th, six students from Faculty of Health and Nutrition (two third-year students, one second-year student, and three first-year students) participated in the "45th Nishinari Ward Everyone's Health Exhibition" held in Nishinari Ward, Osaka City, and conducted food education activities. The venue, the Nishinari Ward Community Center, is adjacent to the Nishinari Ward Health and Welfare Center, where the third-year students had their "Clinical Fieldwork II (Public Nutrition)" in August.

At Otemae University booth, we offered a "Food Education Game Corner," featuring a "Vegetable Flower Identification Quiz" where participants had to guess the flowers of vegetables they commonly eat from photos, as well as coloring pages of seasonal vegetables and fruits. The "Vegetable Flower Identification Quiz" was particularly popular, enjoyed by many people, from adults to the elderly. The quiz sparked lively conversations with visitors, providing students with a valuable opportunity to interact with the local community in a fun way. A total of 77 people visited the booth during the two hours from 2 PM to 4 PM.

This food education activity was conducted through the voluntary participation of the students. The experience of collaborating with local residents across different academic years provided a valuable learning opportunity for students aspiring to become registered dietitians. We hope that this experience will contribute to their future learning and activities.
