Research Student Entrance Examination

Anyone who meets any of the following criteria:

• Only those who do not have Japanese nationality, who meet any of the following conditions 1 through 3, and who also meet the requirement of condition 4.

• Those who have graduated from a university or professional college.
• Those who have completed 16 years of school education abroad
• Those who are recognized by this university as having academic abilities equivalent to or higher than those of a university graduate.
• Those who have a student status of residence under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act

The selection of research students will be based on a document review and an interview.

• Before applying, please be sure to email the "Graduate School Admissions Office" of the Academic Affairs Division with your research topic, research content, and preferred professor to study under.

How to Apply

Please submit the following documents (1-5) along with the application fee (10,000 yen) by mail or to the application submission office of this university by the specified deadline.

• Research Student Admission Application Form (specified by the university)
• Graduation certificate or completion certificate from last school attended
• Academic transcript from last school attended
• Health certificate (specified by the university)
• Post-enrollment research plan (specified by the university)

• Certificates and other documents listed in items 2 through 4 must have been issued within the last three months.
  Furthermore, certificates and other documents written in a language other than Japanese or English must be accompanied by a Japanese or English translation (only those certified by a public institution).

If you do not have Japanese nationality, please also submit the following documents.

• Copy of your passport (the page showing your photo, name, status of residence, and period of stay)
• Copy of residence card (both sides)
• Contact information notification form (specified by the university)

Where to submit application documents

A notification of the result will be sent to the candidate by post on the day the results are announced.
1st period Friday, November 13, 2026
2nd period February 22, 2027 (Monday)

• Results will not be posted on campus bulletin boards or announced online. Furthermore, we will not be able to answer any inquiries regarding acceptance or rejection by telephone or other means.
• The date the notification is mailed is not the date of arrival.
