OTEMAE TOURISM TIMES
(Otemae Tourism Times)As a result of the seminar activities, we produced a free paper distributed at stations and city halls from a student's perspective. The concept of the production is to disseminate information about the towns and people in the Hanshin area, centered on Shukugawa, where the campus is located. It will be passed down to the next generation as a result of the seminar activities every year, and we plan to continue publishing it.

We are participating in a project to build a circular economy in the region and working to reduce food waste. We are inspired by the fact that we are participating in a site where companies with which we have signed an agreement are seriously facing the issue. A Psychology approach
They give accurate advice.
When I was about to enter my third year, I joined Professor Hamada's seminar. Among the professors in my Psychology major, Professor Hamada is the one I can talk to frankly. For example, he supported my vague experimental subject of research on letters and taste with a Psychology approach, and taught me how to make graphs that are easier to read and understand. He never forces me to do anything, but gives accurate advice on my studies. He is also friendly and approachable, and enjoys talking about games with the students.

The close relationship between Psychology and tourism
By learning about connections,
Studying Psychology requires a broad perspective
I realized how important this is.
By practicing crossover, I began to think about how I wanted to look at things more broadly. During my studies in my major, I had thought about the psychology of tourists, such as why so many foreign tourists visit Japan and why they feel like they want to come back even after waiting in line for a long time at a theme park, so I decided to take a tourism course. There, I learned about Japanese hospitality, the current state of the theme park business, and Japan's attractive culture, and learned that there are many factors that influence the psychology of tourists. It made me want to study Psychology with a broad perspective, rather than just focusing on my field of expertise.
