Otemae University × Amagasaki City Fire Department The wrapping bus is now on the move!
In cooperation with the Amagasaki City Fire Department, we produced public relations materials such as posters and leaflets aimed at encouraging people to join the Amagasaki City Fire Brigade. We also designed a new original character to provide easy-to-understand and friendly explanations from the perspective of university students.
Maintaining the environment of old houses in Owase City Purpose: Re-papering shoji screens
We have been working with the Owase Living Support Center, an NPO based in Owase City, Mie Prefecture, to tackle the issue of vacant houses. As part of this effort, students replaced the paper sliding doors of an old house in Kuki Town called "Kaneto."
Lifelong Learning Brochure "Learning in Nishinomiya" produced!
In collaboration with the Lifelong Learning Planning Division of the Lifelong Learning Department of the Nishinomiya City Industry and Culture Bureau, we have produced a manga pamphlet called "Nishinomiya Learning Vol. 2" that introduces information on learning in Nishinomiya City, activities, gathering places, and facilities related to lifelong learning.
Video seminar × Amagasaki Shinkin Bank Producing educational videos to solve local issues
In collaboration with Amagasaki Shinkin Bank, we produced an awareness video aimed at solving local issues. 25 seminar members were divided into eight teams and made videos on the themes of "town PR" and "disaster prevention." The selected works were shown at Amagasaki Shinkin Bank branches and other locations.
"To prevent damage from special fraud "Eco Bag"
In cooperation with Nishinomiya Police Station, we produced eco-bags to prevent special fraud. We distributed the eco-bags together with police officers at a crime prevention campaign held in front of JR Nishinomiya Station to raise awareness of how to prevent special fraud.
In Owase City, Mie Prefecture Architecture Workshop
We held a workshop to renovate the registered cultural property, Doimise, into a shared office space. We worked with members of the local NPO Owase Living Support.
Nishinomiya local Masking tape production
The students worked on creating the design while conducting research on Nishinomiya City, trends in masking tape, and the market. They made many prototypes while taking into account advice from teachers and the opinions of sales staff. The product was actually commercialized and sold at the Nishinomiya Loft.
Manga Seminar x Nishinomiya City Health Center Health awareness booklet produced
In cooperation with the Nishinomiya City Health Center, we have produced a booklet on the harm of smoking, as well as leaflets and posters on the dangers of periodontal disease. The information is conveyed in an easy-to-understand manner using manga expressions.
Light Environment Seminar Participated in store renovation design
We were asked by a company in Nishinomiya City to undertake a store renovation project. After interviewing the client and measuring the lighting environment on-site, we proposed an exterior wall design and lighting plan for inside and outside the store.
Video seminar x Nishinomiya City Fire Department Producing educational videos
In collaboration with the Nishinomiya City Fire Department, we produced a video work to raise awareness of fire prevention. Fifteen members of the seminar were divided into seven teams, each of which produced a 30-second video, and the four selected works were screened on the large digital signage at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens.

What surprised me as I studied the subject professionally was the magnitude of the role. I learned that it is a job that involves paying attention to not only the appearance of the interior but also to the smallest details, such as considering the safety of the residents and the placement of furniture and appliances, to create a comfortable living environment.

The École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris has more than 350 years of history We cooperate with the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris to provide exchange programs.
École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, one of the world's leading institutions of higher education in fine arts, was founded in 1648 under the reign of Louis XIV by Prime Minister Mazarin as the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture. With a history spanning more than 350 years, it has produced many artists in the fields of painting, sculpture, Architecture, and more. In September 2012, our university signed an agreement with École des Beaux-Arts de Paris to accept one student each for the exchange program. The school has agreements with Musashino Art University, Kyoto City University of Arts, and Tokyo University of the Arts in Japan, but our university is the first to do so outside of an art university.
The shock of studying abroad, I want this to lead to growth.
I participated in the program as an exchange student in 2012, and now I am a teacher at this university, where I am engaged in creative activities with the theme of "relationships and distances between nature and people." The reason I decided to study abroad was because I wanted to take a step further in my studies and production of art, utilizing what I learned at university. I was also interested in European history and culture, and the art scene at the time. I hope that you will also experience various shocks through your exchange study abroad. I believe that experiencing the shocks will lead to growth, rather than the results you get in the field.

We hold roundtable discussions for aspiring creators from Faculty of Architecture & Arts, where they evaluate each other's portfolios. The theme is "Communicate x Communicate." In addition, we support aspiring creators by holding "workouts" to improve their skills in specialized software such as Illustrator.
Interview & Group Discussion Countermeasures course
Students will practice "expressing themselves" and aim to improve their communication skills that can be used in actual job hunting activities.

At our university, students who earn the required credits can obtain the qualification to take the first-class Architecture examination (after passing the examination, students must have at least two years of work experience at the time of license registration) and the qualification to take the second-class Architecture examination (no work experience required).
Architecture is an engineer who designs buildings and supervises their construction. There are two national qualifications: first-class Architecture, which has no restrictions on the buildings that can be designed, and second-class Architecture, which has restrictions. This is the goal of our faculty.
Manga Artist
As the name suggests, the job involves coming up with manga stories and drawing the pictures. In this department, you can learn the knowledge and techniques necessary for drawing, as well as ideas unique to manga, from active manga artists.
Web Designer
This job involves creating website designs requested by clients such as companies and individuals. As the web industry continues to expand, there is a shortage of people like this, so this is a job that will be highly valued in the future.

This job involves drawing the illustrations in the animation production process. They work on videos for television and commercials, as well as games and other entertainment, and can either be part of a production company or work as a freelancer.

When I was working on my graduation project, I presented my project without any clear idea of what I wanted to express. Instead of one-sided advice, I was able to dig deeper into my project through dialogue, which I feel helped me move in a positive direction. It was a great relief that they didn't simply criticize my work, but instead accepted it as an opinion from a different perspective. For each piece, they give precise advice on "what was the purpose of the work?" and "how should I create the image in order to achieve that purpose and make it easier for the viewer to understand."

Otemae University was a very attractive university for me because it allows me to study both acting, which I have wanted to do since high school, and Psychology I have always been interested in, through a crossover approach. I ended up majoring in Film and Theater, but I also took many classes that interested me, including Psychology, European and American culture and literature, marketing, and sweets product development. In particular, I think I was able to deepen my learning in my major in Western culture, and my understanding of diversity in Psychology. Taking in a wide variety of opinions across departments was an opportunity for me to grow both theatrically and as a person.
